Microsoft Office iPad version crosses over 12 million downloads

‘Microsoft Office has crossed over 12 million downloads of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for its iPad version,’ as per the official tweet of Office. The iPad version of Microsoft Office apps was launched on March 27, 2014.
Its official Blog further stated ‘While it does prove that there have been a large amount of downloads (more than 12 million!), it doesn't account for the number of subscriptions purchased. Microsoft requires an Office 365 subscription to create and edit Word, Excel, or PowerPoint documents on the iPad.’
The Microsoft Office apps are top listed on the Apple app store, proves that Office’s productivity suite has proceeded further on successful scales ,due to its availability on iPad.
Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft also tweeted on Friday, ‘looks like its Productive Friday for #iPad owners!
